Description

This course is a competency-based clinical experience that develops the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skill level of students in the performance of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures. Emphasis will be placed on procedures of the head, neck, thorax and musculoskeletal. Candidates for certification in Computed Tomography are required to perform clinical procedures to establish eligibility for certification. Students will be required to complete and document their performance as required as established in the ARRT Computed Tomography Clinical Experience Requirements. This course is designated for those students who require clinical placement and clinical monitoring throughout the semester. Students who work in mammography, or who have consistent and adequate training time available to them in mammography, must provide the instructor with documentation from the Imaging Department Manager supporting the clinical time required. Co-requisites: RAD230, RAD232, RAD234.
