Description
Workers in this role provide on-site user support before and during implementation of EHR systems in clinical and public health settings.They provide support services above and beyond what is provided by vendors to ensure the systems function properly and meet the needs of health care providers. Upon completion, they will be equipped to implement project plans by installing hardware as needed and configuring software to meet needs.Testing software, interacting with vendors to deal with technical issues, and identifying solutions for data backup and recovery as well as privacy and security requirements are also among the skills students will be trained in.Designed for individuals with a general background in information technology or health information management.This is a 6-month certificate course.
