Description
This course introduces the molecular biology and biochemistry of a cell. Lecture topics include proteins and enzymes, metabolism and energy production, gene expression and control, membrane structure and transport, signal transduction mechanisms, and the cell life cycle. The student learn and practice current laboratory techniques used in molecular biology and biochemistry. Prerequisites: Minimum grade of “C†in BIO101 and CHE112 or equivalent.
