Description

This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of molecular and cellular biology. Topics include: cell structure, cell physiology, inheritance, genetics and evolution. The laboratory will introduce basic experimental techniques and activities that reinforce the concepts introduced in lecture. Students must meet one of the following prerequisites: successful completion of a high school or adult education biology (within the past 5 years), satisfactory performance on the departmental placement test, or permission of instructor. Bio 101 is reserved for Biology majors.
