Description

This course provides the student with the opportunity to develop skills using the semi-automatic Flux-Cored Arc Welding process. Emphasis on the proper use of semi-automatic equipment, operations, machine adjustments and recognition of weld quality will be introduced. The course provides training to develop the manual skills necessary to make quality multi-pass welds in all positions using 3/8†and 1†thick steel plate. Cutting processes that will be covered include Plasma Arc Cutting and Carbon Arc Cutting and Gouging. Prerequisites: BPT127, MAT114, SAF101, WLD101; Corequisites: ENG108 and WLD110.
