Description

During this first practical experience, students will perform one hour table massage and chair massages for the KVCC community and the public. This is a supervised real life component of the application, communication, and business practice of massage therapy. The students will set up, organize, and facilitate a weekly clinic for massage by appointment and for walk-ins at the college, nursing homes and possibly wellness fairs. Students will develop effective communication skills with clients. Prerequisites: BIO213, MTS101, MTS103, MTS107; Co-requisites: BIO214, MTS108, MTS110, MTS112.
