Description
Students will complete 45 hours of clinical experience in this first clinical practicum in a variety of medical facilities. The student will be assigned to various clinical settings where they will administer medications, manage airways, start IVs, and assist in the care and treatment of patients. Students will gain clinical experience integrating cognitive and psychomotor skills under the supervision of a hospital preceptor. Students will be required to document all clinical time and complete a minimum number of assessments and skill sets.
