Workers in this role assist in reorganizing the medical records of health care providers to take full advantage of the latest advances in Health Information Technology (HIT) in order to improve care, efficiency, and costs.Those completing this certificate program will be equipped to document the workflow and information management models of providers, develop revised workflow and information management models based on certified Electronic Health Records (EHR) products, and conduct user requirements analysis to facilitate workflow design. Successful students will also gain the skills to assist provider staff in implementing, trouble-shooting, and modifying the reorganized system.Designed for individuals with a background in health care or information technology.This is a 6-month certificate course.
