Description
This course is designed to teach the student skills necessary for success as a laboratory Technician. Techniques will include nucleic acid and protein isolation, PCR, gel Electrophoresis, chromatography and microscopy. Mathematical, communication and organizational skills will be emphasized. Students will also be introduced to laboratory management practices. By the end of the semester, student must demonstrate a set of laboratory competencies to pass this course. Pre-req: Bio 101 and Mat 117.
