Description

This course is a further study of the muscle qualities, and the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. This lecture/lab will cover the soft-tissue investigation and treatment of muscles that affect movement through primary/secondary muscles of the human body with their neural controllers. The lecture covers the origin, insertion, action and concerted movements of the body in depth. The lab experiences include palpation skills for both deep and superficial muscles and specifics on what types of work can be done on each area to promote wellness of the areas worked on. Lab will also include kinesthetic learning experiences as well as problem solving of movement deviations. Prerequisites: BIO213, MTS101, MTS103, MTS107; Co-requisites: BIO214, MTS109, MTS110, MTS112.
