Description
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of literature through an examination of poetry, fiction, and drama. The course will focus on literary elements and how those elements create meaning in specific genres. Further, students will examine how literature reflects and illuminates the human experience through close reading and analysis of texts within their historical and cultural contexts. Prerequisite: ENG101, ENG 102, ENG108 or ENG 109.
